You may have received in the last day or two an email purporting to be from BH Live in Bournemouth as a confirmation of tickets you have purchased for a performance of Peter Pan later in the year.

This very convincing email appears to show a receipt for £145 and e-tickets that you can print out.

Don’t open the email and especially don’t open any attachments to it!

Needless to say this is a (very well executed) phishing scam and the PDF, if it has one, contains malware and viruses that will try to install key loggers, cryptolocker type software and the like.

This email is apparently able to bypass most virus scanners and spam filtering system although we are seeing it filtered out by Trend Micro Hosted Email security.

Remember, with emails – IF IN DOUBT, DELETE.
