Will Robinson has decided that the travelling bug hasn’t left him yet so we are in the position of recruiting again. Does this job role describe you?

We are looking for a part-time technician/engineer to join us to help provide support to our many customers. We are a busy, small I.T. business based in excellent offices in central Bristol (right by the harbour, subsidised canteen, very creative atmosphere) and we look after mainly Small and Medium sized businesses providing them with new technology, especially cloud technologies such as Office 365.

You probably have something like A+, a Microsoft MCP and at least 2 years industry experience.

You need to be a natural problem solver, have an excellent telephone manner, good communication skills and be able to prioritise your workload.

What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities: Respond to phone and email based support requests from our clients. Resolve issues where able and escalate when relevant.

Learn how to use the various (increasingly cloud based) technologies we employ to provide new systems and support to clients.

Make regular checks on various in-house and client systems to pro-actively maintain them.

Help build and configure hardware before installation at client sites.

Use our CRM system, keep technical documentation up to date and ensure good communications with clients.

Stay abreast of advances in technology, hardware and software.

Mainly desk based from Bristol offices with occasional site visits to assist as required.

You will be familiar with modern desktop operating systems, LANs, WANs, routers, firewalls, email systems preferably Microsoft Exchange & Small Business Server. Exposure or experience with Office 365 and SharePoint would be great.

We have lots of technology to play with and can train you on new systems such as VoIP, Office 365, Azure, Amazon services, hosted VMs, etc.

Where?
At our central Bristol offices.

When?
Part-time, probably 16-24 hours a week Mon-Wed, but we’re open to suggestions.

How much?
£18-20K pro rata

What do I do next?
Email us your C.V. and we will contact you for an initial telephone interview and take it from there.
