Migration to the Cloud

Office 365If you have found this page you are probably looking to move your business computing out of your office and into the cloud. Microsoft is re-engineering its’ business model to fully embrace the cloud and their products are evolving rapidly. As Microsoft Partners we have fully embraced this philosophy ourselves and have become Microsoft Online Services partners. We are using these products in-house we know just the processes you will be going through. We now no longer run any line of business servers in-house – all our telephony, email and file storage is in the cloud.

What was formally branded as BPOS (“Business Productivity Online Suite”) is now Microsoft Office 365. This online productivity suite will essentially replicate the Office suite you are familiar on your desktop with an online version.

Private cloud – Hosting your other applications in the cloud

We don’t only think of the easy to migrate services such as email. We have for a number of years migrated clients line of business servers (i.e. Sage, GoldMine, Act!, custom databases, etc.) to the cloud as well. Once you have embraced moving your email to the cloud it is easier to look at decommissioning those other servers you have in the office as well.

If your business or workgroup is becoming more geographically distributed you should look at whether those other application you host in-house could more usefully be placed on the internet directly.

We can virtualise your existing Sage, Act!, GoldMine and other servers and put them in a datacentre with unlimited bandwidth and 24/7 availability. By using Remote Desktop Services you can publish your applications, securely, to your users over very high speed internet links. Improve redundancy and availability with virtualisation whilst massively reducing your capital costs.
